Qualifications

  • Applicants must have experience in the concrete trade, including previous work history as a foreman/superintendent.
  • Applicants should have a strong understanding of concrete construction techniques, safety requirements, and pertinent industry standards.
  • Applicants should understand construction schedules and be willing to work, as needed, to complete projects in a timely fashion (and on budget) by working with the Project Manager.
  • Applicants must have the ability to lead and motivate the crew.
  • Applicants should have the ability to pass a drug screen and criminal background check.

Responsibilities

  • This position will be required to provide a safe and clean job site.
  • Attend project specific meetings and coordinate with general contractors to maintain schedule.
  • Organizes, coordinates, and supervises the work of the crew and any subcontractors.
  • Follows construction schedule and determines work priorities to ensure that the project remains efficient and on schedule
  • Goes through weekly safety meetings (toolbox talks) with the crew and to make sure safety procedures are being enforced
  • Coordinates with material suppliers and estimates materials required for a specific task
    • Communicates with the PM to order materials and schedule delivery of materials to coincide with construction progress
  • Maintains inventory and control of projects tools, materials, and equipment
  • Records, with detail, daily tasks/output through daily reports
    • Relays those reports to PM and Field Coordinator
  • Responsible for quality control on the project: ensure adherence to the project plans and specifications
  • Coordinates material inspections/testing with general contractor
  • Tracks and monitors the labor force for productivity
  • Manages in-house and rental equipment to maximum productivity and minimum cost
  • Records, approves, and allocates time for employees
    • The time will be allocated to the tasks completed
  • Maintains a good relationship with the project manager and works as a team to complete the project
  • Act as a mentor for subordinates and reviews their performance, makes recommendations for improvements and wage adjustments

Experienced Equipment Operator 

Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Operate heavy equipment: Locators, Excavators, Backhoe, Skid Steers, Wheel Loader

  • Setting up equipment for daily use.

  • Maintaining equipment and machinery so they can operate safely.

  • Daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections.

  • Maintaining the understanding of operating procedures for their machines.

  • Report safety hazards within the work environment.

  • Use heavy machinery to complete a task.

  • Complete and turn in required personal paperwork.

  • Abide by all company safety rules.

Education, Experience, Skills and Abilities:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience preferred.
  • Proficiency in using tools and equipment.
  • Time management and organizational skills.
  • Knowledge of mathematics and basic calculations.
  • Communicate effectively with co-workers, supervisors, and the public.
  • Maintain an effective working relationship with others.
  • Perform with minimum supervision.
  • Perform heavy physical work, often under adverse weather conditions.
  • Available to work overtime.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills to troubleshoot potential issues.

 

Work Requirements:

  • Pass pre-employment drug screen.
  • Report to work at the designated start time.
  • Willing to work outdoors in extreme temperatures, both hot and cold.
  • Wear personal protective equipment (PPE) in designated operations and production areas as stated by OSHA.
  • Must have a valid Driver’s License preferred CDL A.
